Espace de la Roselière
The town of Fontaine-le-Bourg offers a nice walk accessible to everyone to learn more about the local fauna and flora. The "Espace de la Roselière" (Reed bed space) is a new wetland area covering 9,963 sq m (2.5 acres) dedicated to biodiversity and all the local species. Ponds and swamps have been created. The wetland thus carries out hydrologic and ecological functions and nature thrives in a protected environment.
Keen observers will be able to spot the sources of the river Cailly, sending a geyser of water in the middle of the tributary.
The site is maintained in an eco-responsible manner by the town's technical department and the Syndicat des Bassins Versants (River Basin Joint Association). The grass path is regularly cut.
